Award for long-term Swiss entrepreneurship
Blaser Café AG is the winner of the Phoenix Award 2022.
On January 12, 2023, Blaser Café AG received the Phoenix Award 2022 for long-term Swiss entrepreneurship. This award is presented by the Swiss umbrella organization for corporate succession - CHDU. The award was accepted in person by three generations of the family business at its headquarters at Güterstrasse 4 in Bern: Markus Blaser, Chairman of the Board of Directors and representative of the 3rd generation, Managing Director Marc Käppeli and the members of the Executive Board Bettina Blaser and Michael Blaser, all three 4th generation, as well as Félice Blaser, apprentice and member of the 5th generation. The award is a successful way to round off the anniversary year 2022, in which the company celebrated its 100th anniversary.

The award certificate was presented by Giacomo Garaventa, President of the Swiss umbrella organization for corporate succession - CHDU, together with laudator Corin Ballhaus, member of the Phoenix Award jury advisory board and SME positioning expert.
Christoph Ammann, Director of the Economic, Energy and Environmental Directorate of the Canton of Bern, and Markus Willimann, Deputy Head of SME Policy at SECO, also offered their personal congratulations on receiving the award.
The Phoenix Award for long-term Swiss entrepreneurship has been presented annually since 2020. For scheduling reasons, the presentation of the Phoenix Award 2022 only took place now, on January 12, 2023. The award honors Swiss SMEs that have mastered their succession planning for at least a century. In this way, they are given the visibility and the stage they deserve.
