Motta Tamper (olive wood / 58,5 mm)

The tamper with a high tare weight fits well in the hand and has a diameter of 58.5 mm. It is compatible with all popular portafilter machines with an E61 brew group, for example Bezzera, Faema, ECM or Rocket.

Tamper are the most important utensil in the perfect preparation with portafilter coffee machines. To ensure that the appropriate pressure can build up in the portafilter and that the brewing water does not pass through too quickly or slowly, the coffee powder is compressed in the portafilter by applying pressure of between 10 and 20 kg.
